Our Provider Partners

What is a Provider Collaborative?

We serve an enormous region across the South West, covering an area of 22,000km² across Cornwall, Devon, Avon, Wiltshire, Somerset, and Gloucestershire. With millions of people in provision of our services, coming together as an NHS-led Provider Collaborative was the best way for us to offer specialised mental health care to our communities.

As a Provider Collaborative, we are involved with six Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) for our commissioned services, and seven ICSs in relation to collaborative working. Integrated Care Systems are partnerships that bring together NHS organisations, local authorities and others to take collective responsibility for planning services, improving health and reducing inequalities across geographical areas. There are 42 ICSs across England, covering populations of around 500,000 to 3 million people.

From Consultant Psychiatrists and Clinical Psychologists to Nurses and Allied Health Professionals, our teams help people of all walks of life every single day. As well as caring for adults with low and medium secure mental health care needs, we also provide Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Tier 4 Services (CAMHS) and Adult Eating Disorder services.

Watch this short video to find out more about the role of a Provider Collaborative.

We’re made up of a number of NHS organisations, independent sector providers, and one community interest company. In working together, we’re able to pool our specialist knowledge and resources. Together, we want to improve the mental health support available to people living all over the South West.

My favourite place to visit on my days off is probably the smaller towns in Cornwall, the coves and the beaches. I spend my days off with my children and our animals.

One of the great things working for Elysium is seeing not only myself but other healthcare workers that I've worked with move into different roles.

I've never worked anywhere where we are given so much support in identifying goals and training that helps inform our practice here.

In my spare time, I really like to get out on my bike. The South West is a great place for cycling.

There's a really nice, community vibe. Everyone's very friendly. Everyone knows each other, and we all really work together and support each other.
