Things to consider:

Where you would like to live

Would you prefer city life in Bristol and Exeter, or are you keen to explore the countryside or coast? You can try our selection tool out below to find opportunities.

The financial implications

If you’re planning to join us with your family, you might want to consider things like where you might stay, the cost of living, and how you’ll get to work each day. The average home price of homes in the South West is around the national average, and up to 40% less than those in London.

Applying for your Visa

You can find out more about the Visa application process on the government website - https://www.gov.uk/health-care-worker-visa. Our Provider partners will support you through this process should your application be successful.

Facts for your family

We understand that when it comes to relocation, making sure the needs of your family will be met is a huge priority. The South West is a brilliant place to raise children, with 130 schools rated ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted (Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills) in the region. We also have some of the lowest air pollution in the UK.

Accessing healthcare in the UK

Most healthcare in the UK is provided by the National Health Service (NHS). This service provides emergency, routine and occasional medical treatment to people within the UK. Find out more about how to access different types of healthcare and whether you might need to pay.

Travelling around the UK

There’s so much to see in the UK, with incredible historical sites all over our region and further afield. Bristol is only 1.5 hours away from London by train, and you can get to the capital in 2.5 hours from Exeter. Both are scenic journeys through the countryside or along the stunning coast line. We also have a number of smaller airports in the region, including Bristol, Exeter and Newquay. You can find out more about applying for health and social care jobs in the UK from abroad on the government website here.

My favourite place to visit on my days off is probably the smaller towns in Cornwall, the coves and the beaches. I spend my days off with my children and our animals.
