Family Therapists

As a Family Therapist you’ll provide a vital, compassionate service both to young people facing mental health issues and to their families.

Much of the work across our SWPC focuses on Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) Tier 4, and as a Family Therapist you’ll hold an important role within our communities. We want to encourage those working within our units to innovate and trail blaze, using cutting-edge, evidence-based practices to offer a compassionate – and vital – service.

You’ll work with children and young people facing severe and complex mental health needs, as well as their parents, carers, and significant others where relevant. You should be highly specialised in systemic assessments and treatments, and hold UKCP (or equivalent) registration. Your team will be multidisciplinary and your work will involve providing consultation to other members of staff, the wider CAMHS service, and multi-agency colleagues on formulations and treatment.

You should be incredibly passionate about your work. This is often a challenging field, but our provider partners always aim to protect your work-life balance. The south west is a beautiful region, for living and working, and we offer services from Gloucester all the way to the Cornish coast; you're sure to find something that fits your needs.
