Speciality Doctor - Mixed Adult Acute Ward

Knowing that you’re making a difference to people’s lives is rewarding in itself. But our many roles offer much more than that. As well as helping you grow and develop your talent, we want you to feel proud of where you work and what you do.

Priory Hospital Bristol is part of the Healthcare Division of Priory Group and has 77 beds over 7 wards varying from Eating Disorders, Acute Mental Health, Acquired Brain Injury, Huntingdon’s and Dementia.

The aim at Bristol Priory Hospital is to provide a person centred approach and therapeutic environment, which promotes collaborative care planning to optimise treatment goals. Right from the point of admission to our acute services, our aim is to support patients to be discharged safely back into the community where they can continue to progress towards recovery in a less restrictive environment.

This will be achieved by:

•           Thorough assessment of individuals needs throughout admission

•           Person centred collaborative treatment plans

•           A range of interventions available from a diverse MDT

•           Being cared for in the least restrictive environment

The hospital is set in beautiful surroundings on the outskirts of Bristol.

The clinical team at Bristol Priory Hospital encourage full involvement of the service user, their family and external professionals throughout their stay. They are invited to attend Ward Reviews and CPA meetings to ensure clear communication throughout the care pathway in order to promote individuals' recovery and facilitate discharge.

The successful candidate will also participate in developing treatment plans and programmes as appropriate to ensure good medical practice within the MDT settings.
