Pregnancy Advisory Administrator - Band 3
Job summary
Sexual Health Services provides sexual health care to people across the county of Gloucestershire. The Service covers contraception, sexual health screening and treatment, pregnancy advisory, psychosexual medicine, sexual assault and HIV care and treatment.
The post will primarily be within the Pregnancy Advisory (termination) Service but the postholder will work with reception when required.
The Administrator provides a link between the Service and patients and also other healthcare professionals where appropriate. This post requires a self-motivated and professional individual with the confidence and ability to work on their own initiative or as part of a team within standard operating procedures.
Main duties of the job
- Acting as first point of contact for the consultants and their teams.
- To be key confidential contact point for GPs/patients for patients requesting a Pregnancy Advisory Clinic assessment.
- Accurately input data onto spreadsheets and written records and ensure availability of auditable electronic and paperwork documentation.
- Acknowledge and respond to queries via telephone, email and in person providing a high standard of customer care, ensuring that enquiries are responded to professionally and relayed accurately and in a timely manner to relevant persons.
- Create and maintain filing and recording systems including; recording statistics, archiving, monitoring systems including equipment logs, service records and site information.
- Provide cover for other secretarial/administrative colleagues in their absence as and when required.
- To undertake such other duties related to the work of the organisation as may be assigned.
