A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced receptionist to join our friendly team. Staffed between 09.00 - 17.00 Monday to Friday. The role will provide a central point of contact for our South Bristol sites as well as provision of FOH receptions duties. 

Main duties of the job

First point of contact for phone calls into the location, transferring calls, taking accurate messages and escalating as appropriate.

Meeting and greeting patients and visitors.

Advising clinicians when their patients have arrived.

Room bookings.

Making sure the clinic rooms have everything they need.

Signing for deliveries.

Reporting building defects.

Cashiering, including petty cash services, patient account administration and property safekeeping.

Detailed job description and main responsibilities

You will be supported in your role by the South Bristol Area Site Coordinator, and passionate and friendly colleagues both in support services and the wider Facilities Management team.

The Receptionist will provide assistance as required depending on service need across three different receptions based at Petherton Resource Centre and Callington Road Hospital. As well as acting as a first point of contact for the sites both face to face and over the telephone, the role will include general administrative duties and use of bespoke systems to book rooms for staff members and record withdrawals and deposits of patient monies.

In this role, the post holder will be speaking to service users, healthcare professionals, external agencies, emergency services, members of the public and more.

Training at each base will be provided in respect of the role.
